The village

In a fertile plain, surrounded by hills, Forcalqueiret is a peaceful village where the high street is not to be missed. The attractively restored façades look like new.

The château

A stone’s throw from the village, on the summit of a 130-metre-high hill, stand the remains of the château, Le Castellas, which was once one of the biggest fortresses in the Var region. At night, the lighting gives a glimpse of the impact the edifice must have had.

Big plant market on 1st May

On the 1st of May each year, the village turns into a lovely garden. A large number of producers come to sell their trees, flowers, plants, bulbs and seeds.
